Day 1 – 3: Mashatu Game Reserve
Arrive at Limpopo Airstrip and transfer to Mashatu Lodge for accommodation.

Mashatu Game Reserve in the South Eastern extreme of Botswana offers a unique portfolio of adventure safari products on a reserve known as the Land of Giants and which provides refuge to the largest herds of elephant on private land in Africa. In addition to the two camps (luxury all-suite and tented), Mashatu offers excellent daily sights of all the African predators (lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, jackal and Africa wildcat). To compliment the vehicle safaris, Mashatu is unquestionably the adventure safari destination for energetic travelers and multi-generational families. With five diverse ways to experience Africa’s wildlife, Mashatu offers a world-class photographic experience including two underground elephant hides, mountain biking safaris which complement the horse and walking safaris offered on Mashatu. All our adventure experiences cater for the safari-goer who yearns for a more active and intimate safari holiday.

Day 4 – 6: Matobo Hills
Transfer back to the airstrip for your lite aircraft flight to Bulawayo Airport in Zimbabwe. Accommodation will be at Camp Amalinda for the next 3 nights.

Camp Amalinda is a unique four-star luxury lodge, set in the granite boulders of The Matobo Hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This exclusive, privately owned & family run safari lodge is the premier accommodation in the area. Tucked away in an ancient bushmans shelter, Camp Amalinda boasts a spa, infinity rock pool, library, wine cellar, sunset lounge, show kitchen and many varied activities.

The cultural extension to this package, Camp Amalinda offers cultural tours of the local Ndebele Villages, hikes to the renowned San bushman paintings and a chance to follow in the footsteps of Cecil John Rhodes at his world famous tomb known as "View of the World.” The Matobo Hills boasts the largest population of black and white rhino in Zimbabwe, with Camp Amalinda offering you the opportunity to track these majestic animals on foot with our professional guides.

Day 7 & 8: Hwange National Park
Transfer by road to Hwange National Park and accommodations at Khulu Lodge.

Khulu Lodge situated on a private concession of 6000 acres, where guests will spend 3 nights in wildest Africa in Khulu Ivory’s luxury tented suites. From here you can watch Hwange’s wildlife at Khulu’s floodlit waterhole from the comfort of your room, or from the elegantly designed main area. Morning and evening game drives or walks with a professional guide allows you to capture great photos of the famous Presidential Elephant Herd as well as lion, leopard, cheetah, huge buffalo herds and other plains game and bird species. Game drives with our professional guides are conducted on our Private Concession or into Hwange National Park.

Day 9: Departure
We bid farewell to your adventure as we transfer to the Victoria Falls International Airport for your return flights home.

The Victoria Falls National Park forms the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe and was described by the Kololo tribe living in the area in the 1800’s as ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ – ‘The Smoke that Thunders’. In more modern terms Victoria Falls is known as the greatest curtain of falling water in the world. Columns of spray can be seen from miles away as, at the height of the rainy season, more than five hundred million cubic meters of water per minute plummet over the edge, over a width of nearly two kilometers, into a gorge over one hundred meters below

* LUGGAGE NOTE: All luggage must be in soft sided bags and no more than 15 kilograms.

*NOTE: Guests booking through an agent or tour operator must present a voucher on arrival or the guest may be asked to settle their account direct with the lodge. A scanned copy of the voucher or a record of the voucher number must be received by our reservations as soon as possible after the booking is confirmed.


The tour price includes the following services.

  • Meet,Greet and airport transfers by your local guides
  • Accommodation at the hotels, game lodges or rest camps specified in the itinerary, on the basis of two persons sharing a twin-bedded room with en suite bathroom, or shower / toilets. 
  • Meals from arrival on Day one to the end of the scheduled safari and a reasonable amount of drinks.
  • Transportation by 4X4 specially designed safari vehicle, with qualified driver, for all journeys specified and hired mini bus for transfers between Amalinda, Khulu, and Victoria Falls.
  • Laundry at Camp Amalinda & Khulu Lodge, Game drives at Mashatu and twice daily Activities at Camp Amalinda & Khulu Lodge, Some National Park fees, for sightseeing excursions specified.
  • English Speaking tour guide
  • Full Pre-departure and final documentation with detailed “Guide to Planning your African Safari”.  

Services Not Included:

  • International airfare or airport taxes, quoted separately 
  • Items of a personal nature, such as laundry at Mashatu Lodge, telephone calls, room service, premium imported brand beverages, personal purchases, optional extra activities, etc.
  • Adventure Activities at Mashatu Lodge, Matapos National Park fees, Monument/Museum fees at Camp Amalinda, lite aircraft departure fees (Limpopo-Bulawayo $50pp / Bulawayo-Limpopo $30pp) payable in cash at the airstrip.
  • Gratuities to tour guides, drivers and restaurant staff for services rendered.
  • Any other services not specified above.
  • Compulsory Travelers insurance and cancellation protection.


Group Size – Min 2


Age Limits – Children under the age of two years will be accommodated free of charge when sharing a room with other paying guests. Children aged 12 years or older will be charged adult rates. Children 3-11 pay 50% of adult rate if sharing with an adult. If 2 children require their own room and are under 12, one pays full adult rate and one pays 50%. At Mashatu, children under five years of age are not permitted to dine in the boma or to be taken on game drives, unless their parents have reserved sole-use of their vehicle.


Deposit and Booking Requirements

This quotation is subject to the availability of all services at the time of making a reservation.

Travel insurance coverage for injury, illness or loss of effects while on tour is NOT included, is highly recommended for travel and compulsory for many lodges and adventure safaris in Southern and Eastern Africa.

Registration:  A 25% deposit of the total land price, per person is required.  The remainder of the cost is due 60 days prior to departure date. 
Airline tickets must be purchased within two weeks of reservation confirmation.

Payment is accepted by personal check, company check or credit card

Reservation Policy: All tariffs quoted include VAT and current grading levy.  The price quoted is subject to change in the event of any unforeseen increases in fuel costs including currency fluctuations and/or Government levies/taxes, including Park Fees and Entrance fees.  Safariline reserves the right to amend the quoted tariffs accordingly should the Government change the percentage level of VAT or introduce any other tax or Levy.  Safariline will not cancel a tour, holiday or other travel arrangement once the client has paid in full unless it becomes necessary to do so as a result of hostilities, war or threat of war, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist unrest, active or threatened natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions or if a group tour does not have a minimum required participants, or for any other adverse event beyond the control of Safariline.  In the event of cancellation Safariline will inform the client without delay and will make every effort to offer a suitable and comparable alternative

Cancellations: Cancellations received more than 60 days prior to departure will be subject to the nonrefundable $500.00 per person fee plus any charge incurred by the hotels, ground handlers or operators up to the 

entire deposit of                                                                                     25% of the total trip costs

Between 60-30 days prior to the scheduled departure date ................. 50% of total trip costs

During the last 30 days including the scheduled departure date:.. 100% of the total trip costs
