Okavango Channels & Plains combines the dramatic landscapes of the renowned Nxai Pans National Park
(home to the annual zebra migration) with the game-rich Okavango Delta on this unforgettable six night mobile camping adventure. This journey is tailored for those who would like to sample mobile camping before moving on to lodge
accommodation. Travel during the months of February and April, when the NxaiPan’s rainy season attracts the zebra mega herd as well as various plains game(and the predators who accompany them) to the now filled waterholes and lushgrazing. Enjoy a brilliant combination of water and land activities in the Delta that range from game drives to mokoro excursions and fishing.
~ Itinerary Description ~
Day 1 – 2: Moremi Game Rerve
Your adventure begins in Maun, where you will meet your guide and embark on a flight
to the glorious Okavango Delta. Experience a wonderful two night’s stay, on the
banks of a seasonal waterway, overlooking the celebrated Moremi Game Reserve.
Here you will be truly spoilt for choice with the assortment of excellent
wildlife sightings in the area. From your pristine surrounds in the Okavango
Delta you will enjoy the same renowned wildlife sightings commonly associated
with the Moremi Game Reserve.
DAY 3 - 4 Okavango Delta
Next, you will again hop aboard a light aircraft that will take you the famous
Nxabega concession, in the Okavango Delta, where you stay for two nights at the
beautiful &Beyond Nxabega Trails Camp. Here you will experience an adventure-filled mix of water and land activities from game drives to mokoro and catch-and-release fishing. Please note that the waterbased activities are seasonal.
Day 4 – 6 : Nxai Pans National Park
On the final leg of your journey you will be flown to Maun
and then driven to the dramatic landscapes of the glorious Nxai Pans, where
breathtaking vast open spaces, with desert-like pans, await. During the rainy
season, this area bursts into life and invites various animals, including the
awe-inspiring zebra migration, to congregate around its waterholes. Adventures
include game drives, stargazing and the opportunity to venture to the giant
baobabs in the area.
Day 7: Maun / Departure
Today, your guide will accompany you to Maun and will wave a fond farewell as you
board your flight homeward from Maun International Airport.Transfer by light aircraft from Xigera to Maun Airport for your onward arrangements.
Overview: Summer in Botswana is a special time of year. The vibrant floral displays and dramatic skylines provide a stunning backdrop to the explosion of new life and as such predators take full advantage of the abundance of inexperienced younger prey.Birding is also outstanding with several species displaying splendid breeding plumage and many intra-African and Palearctic migratory species present. You will experience a nostalgic camping/lodge safari that recreates the sense of adventure reminiscent of the times of the great African explorers.
A note about Mobile Camping :• Enjoy fully serviced mobile camping with service during your adventure such as a butler,
housekeeper and chefs who prepare the most scrumptious pan African menus. •
Accommodation is in spacious expedition dome tents (4 metres x 4 metres in
size), comfortable beds, ensuite bathroom (3 metres x 3 metres in size),
separate w.c. and hot bucket shower. • * The mobile camp boasts three ensuite
safari tents. • As this is the quintessential African safari experience there
is no electricity in camps, but cell phones, cameras and other electronic
devices can be charged on the safari vehicle. Your entire journey will be hosted by senior and experienced private guides who offer a wealth of
knowledge about your chosen destinations and an engaging experience throughout

Age Limits – Minimum of 12 years. Recent medical certificate required for guests over 75. For parties with children under 12 years, a private, tailor-made safari is suggested and quoted on request.
Deposit and Booking Requirements
This quotation is subject to the availability of all services at the time of making a reservation.
Travel insurance coverage for injury, illness or loss of effects while on tour is NOT included, is highly recommended for travel and compulsory for many lodges and adventure safaris in Southern and Eastern Africa.
Registration: A 25% deposit of the total land price, per person is required. The remainder of the cost is due 75 days prior to departure date.
Airline tickets must be purchased within two weeks of reservation confirmation. Reservation Policy: All tariffs quoted include VAT and current grading levy. The price quoted is subject to change in the event of any unforeseen increases in fuel costs including currency fluctuations and/or Government levies/taxes, including Park Fees and Entrance fees. Safariline reserves the right to amend the quoted tariffs accordingly should the Government change the percentage level of VAT or introduce any other tax or Levy. Safariline will not cancel a tour, holiday or other travel arrangement once the client has paid in full unless it becomes necessary to do so as a result of hostilities, war or threat of war, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist unrest, active or threatened natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions or if a group tour does not have a minimum required participants, or for any other adverse event beyond
the control of Safariline. In the event of cancellation Safariline will inform the client without delay and will make every effort to offer a suitable and comparable alternative
Cancellations: Cancellations received more than 75 days prior to departure will be subject to the nonrefundable $500.00 per person fee plus any charged incurred by the hotels, ground handlers or operators up to the
